Plymouth Civic Centre

We were commissioned by Plymouth City Council and English Heritage to carry out a comprehensive Heritage Assessment and Condition Survey of the Grade II listed Civic Centre together with a feasibility study to identify suitable sustainable future uses for the buildings. The building group, designed by Jellicoe, Ballantyne and Coleridge Architects and opened in 1962, comprises a 14 storey office block, a 2 storey administration block, an elevated link block accommodating offices for the executive and an impressive Civic Suite and Council Chamber.
Future uses considered range from retention of current activities to retail, leisure hotel and entertainment centre
