Dover Castle Cafés
DoverAvanti Architects have been appointed by English Heritage to re-design the interior of the two main cafes at the Grade I listed Dover Castle. The project is the first phase of English Heritage’s masterplan, also led by Avanti, an exciting project to significantly enhance the overall visitor experience at Dover Castle, one of the UK’s most significant castle complexes.
There are two cafes, the Naafi and the Great Tower, both located in historic buildings within the confines of the Grade I listed castle site. Our proposals for both cafes have been carefully designed to both improve the visitor experience and increase the capacity to serve the increasing numbers of visitors.
Avanti Architects provided both interior design and heritage consultancy services in house, ensuring holistic solutions that will ensure a sustainable future and high quality visitor experience within these sensitive historic structures.
