Central London Office Development
LondonThe brief was to maximise the development opportunity of the site in a central London location to provide flexible accommodation split between the Client’s HQ and rentable, office space.
Our design approach maximises the site and the prominent location, both addressing a major thoroughfare and utilising a distinctive articulation of façade elements. This façade approach allows a flexible strategy for the interior layout which responds to the transformational ways of working within and allowing a continuum of change over time.
The café space at ground floor provides a facility for the building users and draws in the public, a client aspiration for this important HQ building. They also host meetings and small conferences and facilities for these activities were provided both suited and flexible and on the top floor with a south facing terrace with views across Central London.
The design team developed proposals enabling at least 80% of construction waste to be diverted from landfill and enabling a high building performance with a minimum 40% reduction in typical internal water consumption and an overall 35% reduction in carbon emissions.
