Carrick-on-Suir Primary Care Centre

Carrick-on-Suir PCC is located on the grounds of Carrick-on-Suir Community Hospital and is planned as a compact ‘T’ shaped plan building with a triple height orientation space at the centre connecting the two wings. The plan layout of the building bends around a large tree on the site which marks the building entrance. At the heart of the building is a triple height orientation space acts as the main circulation space in the building and the means by which anyone using the building can orientate themselves. The design of the proposed development offers a strong frontage to Pill Road which acts as a marker signifying the civic nature of the building and the entrance to the town whilst carefully sitting amongst the existing trees
