Broadbent Close

London

This new build development created a series of B1 studio and office spaces for local businesses in a mews setting in Highgate Village, North London.
The project involved partial clearance of derelict and dilapidated property in order to allow the formation of a more generous forecourt and define the edge of a protected woodland area.
The two storey ‘terrace’ was finished to shell and core standard and provides for a variety of internal fit-out options, with all units having outlooks to both the courtyard and into the woodland. The design aimed to create a modest but clear statement in the modern idiom, with construction being kept simple and easily maintained.
The design has been conceived as the first phase of an extended development that will complete the regeneration of the mews with a related residential scheme.
