Adrian Miles

Adrian is a Director at Avanti Architects and a Certified Passivhaus Designer, registered in both the UK and the Republic of Ireland. He works on major projects across masterplanning, healthcare, life sciences, residential, education and mixed-use sectors. He enjoys tackling complex urban projects and uses strong collaborative and communication skills to help optimise site potential for clients and building users. He is committed to sustainability, with an extensive track record delivering Net Zero and Passivhaus projects.

Adrian developed his interest in urban environments while studying in Glasgow and working in Paris for two years before joining Avanti. He has also worked on projects as far afield as China, bringing an international perspective to his work. His experience spans a wide range of project types, with a particular focus on health, wellbeing, inclusive placemaking and enriching urban environments.

Within the studio, Adrian leads the Sustainability Group and drives Avanti’s commitment to achieving high standards of sustainability in building performance, whole-life and embodied carbon reduction, and the delivery of biodiverse and regenerative design. A fluent French speaker, he maintains an active interest in all aspects of French culture.
