Penguins at the Isokon

Each year the Gallery features a special display on an aspect of the Isokon story and its many connections.

This season we focus on penguins – the publishing house founded by Sir Allen Lane; Lubetkin’s Penguin Pool at London Zoo (from which the iconic Penguin logo was derived); the Penguin Donkey storage unit produced by the Isokon Furniture Company; and the development of Penguin Books in the post-war period. The display is supported by a selection of penguin-related artefacts.
