Inside Housing Award Win – Best Urban Development in London

Avanti Architects were the proud winners at the Inside Housing Development Awards 2022 in the ‘Best Development – Urban in London’ category for The Makers mixed use development. The project was also in the running for the ‘Best Regeneration Project – over 100 Homes’ award. Lead project director Andrew Phillips was at the ceremony to receive the award.

This exemplar mixed-use education and housing development for the London Borough of Hackney with developers Londonewcastle sits on a tight urban site in the heart of Shoreditch and integrates a vibrant mix of public, residential and commercial uses. The scheme provides 175 homes, a commercial/gallery space, a new special needs school, enhanced community sports facilities and a new public space for Londoners.
