HEALTH PROJECT OF THE YEAR WIN FOR ST MARY’S
18 June 2019The newly opened St Mary’s Primary Care Centre, Cork has won ‘Health project of the Year’ at the 2019 Irish Construction Industry Awards. The award marks an ongoing relationship between Avanti Architects and Health Service Executive, who have been delivering successful health buildings together for over a decade. Ronan Conneely, Director of Avanti’s Irish office, collected the award on behalf of the project team.
Recently opened by the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, St Mary’s Primary Care Centre has been warmly received by local residents, patients and staff. Serving 40,000 people in the surrounding area, it is the largest facility of its kind in Ireland, offering a number of GP practices, Public Health Nurses, Physiotherapists, Dietetics, Speech and Language Therapy, Podiatry, Psychology, Dental, Opthalmology, Immunisation, Mental Health, bookable rooms and Occupational Therapy services, over 6,500 sq.m
