Avanti attended Anglia Ruskin University’s research workshop on digital uptake in the older population with regard to improving health outcomes. Attendees from local government, charity housing providers, architects and academics provided stimulating cross-disciplinary discussion.
Topics included access to various forms of digital information across social and geographic groups ranging from application for universal credit to navigation and fitness apps, telehealth initiatives, community IT hubs, websites for local sharing and volunteering etc.
Effectively and elegantly hosted at the RSA by a team from ARU’s School of Engineering and the Built Environment led by Dr Alison Pooley. The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce provided a stylish and comfortable backdrop for the workshop.
