Amir Ramezani in AJ house-building report
18th December 2013Amir Ramezani was invited to contribute to an Architects’ Journal report concerning the growing number of regional housebuilding planning consents compared to London. The AJ reported that: ‘The number of planning consents rocket across the UK but more than half of regions experience drop in commercial permissions’.Amir contended that this may result from a historically low level of activity in the regions which may be undergoing a modest correction. He was quoted as follows:
‘Any sudden hike outside of London may be the product of a small statistical pool arising out of previous low activity and the degree of stagnation we have witnessed over an the extended period of time. A truer picture may lie in between rises in residential planning consents and falls in commercial approvals.’
