Amir Ramezani in AJ house-building report

Amir Ramezani was invited to contribute to an Architects’ Journal report concerning the growing number of regional housebuilding planning consents compared to London. The AJ reported that: ‘The number of planning consents rocket across the UK but more than half of regions experience drop in commercial permissions’.Amir contended that this may result from a historically low level of activity in the regions which may be undergoing a modest correction. He was quoted as follows:

‘Any sudden hike outside of London may be the product of a small statistical pool arising out of previous low activity and the degree of stagnation we have witnessed over an the extended period of time. A truer picture may lie in between rises in residential planning consents and falls in commercial approvals.’
