Nile Street Mixed Use Development

This £110m regeneration project in the heart of Shoreditch continues a successful 10 year collaboration between London Borough of Hackney and Avanti which has delivered multi award winning projects. Other members of the client team include Londonewcastle as advisors on the residential element and Mclaren Construction as constructor.
Avanti Architects is acting as architects, lead consultants and BIM managers.

The scheme provides 175 residential units, a commercial/gallery space, a new special needs school, enhanced community sports facilities and a new public space for Londoners. The residential accommodation is housed in a 7 storey linear street block and a 29 storey tower above a 2 storey podium.  The scheme also makes an outstanding contribution to the local neighbourhood through wider improvements to connectivity and permeability across the area.

A new model for densifying inner city sites in a sustainable manner

This high quality scheme provides a sustainable way forward to meet the chronic shortage of pupil places and homes in London. The scheme makes a huge financial contribution to future schools, off-site affordable housing and S278 works.  It also creates a unique new public space for London in the tight knit street network of Shoreditch.’
