Amir joined Avanti in 1994 and became a director in 2010. He is trained as an architect and structural engineer. During his time at Avanti, he has been responsible for a number of award winning projects including The Urswick School, Jesus College Cambridge, Haggerston School and the Tybalds Estate regeneration.
Amir brings clarity, creativity and strategic thinking across a wide range of sectors. His work in recent years has focused on education, housing and regeneration projects. His ability to think holistically ensures bold and innovative concepts are realisable. He is also a strong advocate for more flexibility and adaptability in buildings.
Amir has travelled widely delivering projects in Europe, China, Middle East and Brazil. This experience has informed his thinking on what makes cities and the built environment vibrant, enjoyable and ultimately sustainable.
Amir is a member of Historic England’s London Advisory Committee, Harrow Council’s Design Review Panel, Enfield Council’s Place and Design Quality Panel and is an assessor for the Civic Trust.
