St Peter’s Seminary project receives Getty Foundation support

8 AUGUST 2017

Commissioned by NVA, a not-for-profit arts charity, Avanti Architects are currently developing plans to partially restore and adapt the Grade A/I listed St Peter’s Seminary in Cardross and it was announced last week that NVA is one of twelve recipients of The Getty Foundation’s 2017 Keeping It Modern Grants.

The Seminary has been recognised by The Getty Foundation as a significant 20th century building and this year is one of only two projects in the UK to benefit from an architectural conservation grant as part of the Foundation’s Keeping It Modern initiative.

Avanti Architects are working on plans to transform the seminary, which was originally designed by Gillespie, Kidd and Coia, into an education and public arts venue.
